The Phoenix Club of Nashville, in partnership with the Nashville Banner, is proud to announce a Mayoral Forum to be held on Monday, May 22, 2023, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University.
The forum will allow all mayoral candidates to present their vision for the city's future and discuss the issues that matter most to the community. The event is open to the public, and all are welcome to attend. Register here.
Steve Cavendish, president and editor, and Demetria Kalodimos, executive producer, of the Nashville Banner will moderate the discussion.
The Phoenix Club of Nashville is a registered 501(c)(3) organization with the dual mission of benefiting underserved youth in Middle Tennessee and developing members into leaders in their community and business.
"We are thrilled to give Nashvillians the chance to hear from the candidates running to represent them in the mayor’s office for the next four years," said Cory Cain, president of the Phoenix Club of Nashville. "It is important for the community to be informed and engaged, and we believe this forum will help them do just that. As one of the premier leadership development organizations in our city, the Phoenix Club is honored to host our city’s mayoral candidates and we look forward to the discussion in May."
The Nashville Banner, led by Cavendish and Kalodimos, is a locally owned and community-supported civic news organization that aims to empower citizens to make informed decisions by providing impartial journalism. They bring decades of top-tier media experience as print and broadcast journalists and operate the outlet as a digital-first platform, providing free access to their stories.
